John 13:1-28
13 It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father.
Luke 22:15-20
15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”
17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. NIV
Luke 22:29-30
29 And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, 30 so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The sequence of the Last Supper
He “took” the bread and cup
He “gave thanks” for them (making them a thank offering
He “Blessed them” in their higher position now
He “gave” them to the Apostils
He told them to “take and eat and drink” all of them
He said of the bread “this is my body given for you—of the cup—“this is the new covenant in My blood poured out for you
He told us to remember Him.
